Link is the star athlete of Hyrule University and Zelda an exceptional scholar. They should be focusing on school and sports, but they keep getting distracted by each other. This fanfic includes characters from the Zelda franchise, but mainly from botw and aoc.

This is part 2 of my fanfic series, so If you haven't read the prequel of this story "Botw Reimagined: The Past", I highly recommend reading it before starting on this if you don't want to get confused. Moving from the past of breath of the wild, we finally get to the game portion of the story. Any feedback is appreciated, as well. (Story) 100 years after the tragedy that was the Great Calamity, Hyrule has finally seemed to have regained its footing. However, the seal on Calamity Ganon seems to be weakening, threatening to break any day now. Fortunately for Hyrule, a hero who has been thought long dead finally returns from a long slumber. That hero is Link. After sleeping for 100 years, Link seems to have lost all of his memories, especially the memories of his failure to protect those that he loved. of course, All rights to any known part of the game go to Nintendo please Nintendo, do not strike me down before I finish this series.

in the kingdom of Hyrule, duty comes before desire. Link and Zelda's way back to Hateno after defeating Ganon is interrumpted by a small girl that does not belong to their world. As Zelda tries to bring Hyrule to it's former glory, Link will protect his new friend from a world she's ignorant about so she can accomplish her own mission: end the eternal slumber of her village. When Link and Y/n enter high school, they think it's going to be just like middle school: carefree, mischievous, and a quiet kind of loud. High school brings a different thrill than middle school, with school dances and party dares. Meeting people they never thought they would meet, sports they wouldn't have expected to be good at, and confessions they never thought they would share; dam, sounds like a pretty good first year in high school. He woke, immediately pulling himself upward while his hands moved to his back, a reflex. There was nothing there, though. "Link. You must free me." The voice said again. Link turned his head, trying to find the source of the voice. "You will grow strong, and have the power needed for your task." The voice continued. "Please... help me." The ground shook. --- I don't own the Legend of Zelda.

This story is dark and has many build-ups. Zelda cared for her knight as did he. In his most desperate moment of need, he still tended to her. As he was sent away on a dangerous quest Zelda never stopped thinking of him, nor stopped reading his letters. Until the day came he returned... She wasn't as excited as she was before to see him. With one last summer before college, Zelda is forced from her books and other introverted habits to be a camp counselor at Lake Hylia. Her plush mattress is traded for a cabin cot and the mosquitos are out to eat her alive but it's what her parents wanted to teach her some social skills before the dorms. It's just one summer after all. Link is on his way to the army after joining the staff for the last time at the summer camp he was practically raised in. He's determined to make the most of it, and that means teaching the new girl all the ins and outs he's been learning since the seventies. And maybe it means getting her to kiss him too.

With one Divine Beast left to conquer before he must face Calamity Ganon, Link struggles with his fate as his journey to rescue Hyrule nears its inevitable end. Unexpectedly joined on the long road from Akkala to Gerudo by a determined young woman on a quest of her own, Link must decide which is more important; one's past or one's future. **Chapter 9 RATED M for sexual content**
