This is an unofficial sequel to Aldous Huxley's masterpiece, Brave New World. It begins at the very moment when the narrative of the novel ends.

Like all citizens of the Protected States of America, Paul has lived his entire life within the confines of one of the government-run safety towers. A gifted student and model citizen, he has always diligently followed all of the guidelines prescribed by the experts, but a chance encounter with a dangerous old man threatens to change everything. Will he continue to put his safety first, or will his newfound hunger for the truth lead him into the danger outside the walls of Tower 440?

In this sequel chapter to Brave New World, Darwin Bonaparte films a new feely about John called A Savage Civilized. This time he decides to make a biopic telling a fictionalized version of his early life on the Savage Reservation, his experiences with civilization in London, and his return to the Reservation to spread his newfound ways. As he recalls his own story, Darwin travels to the Reservation to complete filming what he hopes will be his defining work.

However, everything changes on a dark night when Marina is captured by a daring group calling themselves "The Singulars." They embody hope for those yearning for a society where masks can finally be taken off, where authenticity and freedom of expression are restored. Marina is faced with a monumental choice: continue a life of compliance and submission, masking her true identity, or embrace the dangerous journey toward freedom, where authenticity is a virtue, and risk is constant. "Masks of Freedom" is a captivating narrative that delves into the complexities of a society where security is achieved at the cost of individuality, while following Marina's journey in the pursuit of a life where masks are unnecessary, but the price to pay is high. This is a story of courage, resistance, and the eternal human desire for freedom.

Today I think of the future and can't help but to worry. Global warming, racism, discrimination, famine show up on my feeds daily. The only thing giving any kind of hope are the people fighting these things to build a safer future. One of health, tolerance, community. There are plenty of things that we should be willing to lose in the fight for a better tomorrow; it is our duty to repair the things we have broken. Told by the perspective of a regular student, this short story dives into the mind of someone who grew up in a life without family or free thought. I wrote this in 10th Grade for a project. Prologue to Quartz and Gold People everywhere are connected to each other by advanced technology. Just a pair of contacts or glasses is all it takes to be able to talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime. A world where everything is online, and most people are never disconnected. Capitalism thrives; all you have to do is think to have something ordered and sent to you. Here, in their electronic reign, your attention span is their coin. The better your attention span, the more you can buy, and the higher up in society you are. The problem? Everyone is addicted to the tech. The fast grab, instant gratification of it all, the constant flow of dopamine. Even those born to company CEO's have lost their ability to keep their attention on something for long periods of time, and the advertisements are always there. Incessant, constant, unending, unregulated. The same technology that everyone loves has become a plague that most people don't seem to care to notice. Except for Proxy Quartz, from upbringings so humble that she never had this technology until she was in high school. She grew up on books and computers that would be considered ancient by her peers, and most importantly, fresh air. She single handedly skyrocketed her whole family into riches simply by having such a long attention span. But she is bored of the technology, and boredom is the bane of this world's existence.

2 weeks? No sweat. 2 months? Easy Peasy. 4 years? No problem. Only the longest wait in the world, how will this almost adult 17 year old boy deal with such a volatile and unsure future? Stick around and Wait to find out how this coming of age almost manchild's future unfolds.

So what is Utopian SF? Is there an objective definition? The dog who didn't like his master is a light hearted, humorous dystopia about Ben, a Labrador who does not want to become a guide dog for the visually impaired and decides to run away from his training school with the help of a scheming cat named Pistachio. Set in the war torn northern town of Lambed, the novel follows Ben's adventures and his misguided conversion to the feline cause. Ben embarks on a voyage of love, betrayal and redemption which will not leave him unscathed. A tall tale/tail indeed in which the animals have become decidedly human in their quest for power and domination. With the help of Ben, a fascistic Catiphate is born but will there be room for him once Pistachio has asserted himself as its absolute ruler? To be sure this is an old tale but one with a modern twist coloured by current events on the world scene.
