Then, you try to start your life again from scratch, turn over a new leaf, but it's useless and you know it, the past always comes back to haunt you, karma will hunt you down like an animal to make you pay for the past; forcing you to watch the horrors all over again, still alive, but barely breathing. As a publicist Alessandra Nolan's entire life revolves around image. Including and especially her own. The way she walks, talks, and presents herself must be perfect. With a life already so involved with Paranormal society would it really be so much to ask to have one shred of her life not revolve around paranormal beings? Of course it would. Enter the book of Selene. An ancient text written by the goddess herself and her acolytes. Written in multiple dead languages only three people in the world at a time are ever able to read it. When it is accidentally revealed that Alessandra is one of these people she must decide whether to embrace her so-called destiny, or run from it. Can she do that without completely turning her life upside down?

This fic (at first) follows the basic storyline of Demon Slayer, starting with chapter 106 of the manga, found in volume 12 (weird place to start, I know, but just bare with me). I've added a few characters, removed a few characters, and drastically altered something. I've also spared the lives of a few characters that were killed off in the original, killed a few characters whose lives were spared in the original, and changed a few details about the franchise. These things gradually change the story to divert from the original story more and more to the point that the story becomes virtually unrecognizable and also extends far past what was the ending in the original. I've written introductions before the chapters of the story to go into more detail about what you should know before reading this. Cover images for chapters do not belong to me- they are either from Demon Slayer directly or art by someone else.
