On 23rd June 2016 British Prime Minister David Cameron played his greatest political gamble and lost. He called a referendum of the British people, asking them to vote simply 'In' or 'Out' of the European Union and bet they would return him a 'Remain in EU' result. Although the referendum was not binding on the government, so confident was he of a favourable outcome that he tied his own hands by saying he would abide by the result whatever it was, and should there be an 'OUT' majority, he would trigger the apparatus of departure from the EU the very next day. The impossible happened. By a collective majority of one million plus a few more. Britain decided to leave the EU. This is Brexit. Did Cameron trigger the departure mechanism. No, he engineered his own departure as PM instead, and walked away from the problems he created into the oblivion of political retirement. This is real and it's ongoing. This story is how three senior members of the British Home Civil Service are apprised of how it came about. I wish to thank gifted poet and graphic designer @Palpita for the illuminating cover.

"Let it be noted that on this date, July fourth, 2018, at 0100 hours, the UK officially broke away from the EU." England has gained his Independence from the EU, but how does America feel about sharing the fourth of July with another nation? "IT'S MINE." Crack fic! Don't take seriously; I just wrote this for a good laugh!

In the end it was the future that got us. Survivors of the fallout from the Gottdun Republic's failed wars with Euroland expect to live to the age of twenty year-old and barely a day more, before the infection takes hold. There is hope. A select few enter the Gottdun lottery for blast off to Mars, where life goes on. A talented young Memory surgeon, Azora Orso, dreams of revenge against her Knight master, but comes to understand that the ancient obsession, known as love, might actually be the answer to her failed nation's troubles. This is a future world, where Bears Dream of Space Too. I may go back and tinker (sorry), but the narrative and characters should stay the same once on Wattpad. Please vote - I massively appreciate any votes on the chapters - thank you!
