Evan Buckley lives at home with his Mother, Margrette Buckley, and Father, Philip Buckley. They both are horrible, but Buck can't just move out, he has no where else to go. His Sister left 3 years ago, and hasn't heard fom her since, leaving him to fend for hisself. Buck applied to be a firefighter and he got the job, he works at the 118. Bobby, Hen, Chimney, and Eddie was all working there, then Buck came along. They all noticed how distant Buck is, he hardly muttered 2 words to them, but when something happens, he has no choise but to trust them.

eddie looked out the window of bobbys office. buck and christopher laughed as buck picked up chris and threw him over his shoulder. "some things are just more important." eddie said, more to himself than to bobby. buck looked in the window and motioned for eddie to come out. eddie turned his head to bobby, "tell them to keep their money". and with that, eddie ran over to the two people he cared about most in the world. because when he was with them, nothing else mattered. this was exactly where he wanted to be.

When new kid Eddie Diaz moves from inner-city Galway to Waterford and joins the local hurling team, the team captain Evan Buckley seems to have a problem with Diaz sharing the spot light. But is that how Buck really feels or is everything just a little much for him at the moment. The pressure, the expectations and the way Eddie's deep brown eyes glisten in the sun light are weighing him down. He just wants to be chosen, just once, by his parents and maybe even make something of himself. He didn't ask for this new player from up west nor does he want to feel anything at all for him but hate and distain (maybe he could possibly tolerate friendship). But no one gets to choose who their soul calls to, so of course Buck's heart sticks him with the cocky new guy, who he swears he hates. ***Work in progress, just like Buck***

He gestured to the envelope in a 'go on' fashion, and that seemed to break Eddie out of whatever stupor he was in. With one last confused and concerned look at him Eddie reached down and scooped up the envelope taking out the papers and reading through their contents. "I don't understand." Eddie said after seemingly having read through the papers at least three times. "C'mon Eds," Buck huffed out a mirthless chuckle, "I know that you know what a deployment issue looks like."
