The story does include violence and Ulfgar dealing with some pretty gruesome people. So, this story is about a boy named Dave who finds out his parents secretly got him into a new school called Mountain Peak Middle School without even asking him! Like, who does that? He was super mad and tried all kinds of strikes-hunger strike, movement strike, and even a speech strike-but none worked because, well, he couldn't resist food, had an itchy nose, and didn't want bad breath. When he finally goes to the school, he hates everything at first. The people don't smile, the uniform is too tight, and there's this boring counselor named Mrs. George who can't keep a secret. But as the weeks go by, things slowly get better. He makes new friends called The Boring Bears, finds cool activities, and even starts looking for his special talent (he's good at chess, writing, coding, and more!). Even though he kept complaining at first, Dave learns to like Mountain Peak Middle School. He becomes more confident, does well in his tests, and even learns to speak in front of people without shaking like a leaf. In the end, he realizes that change isn't always terrible-it can actually make you better. And he finishes by saying something funny about life being like a PowerPoint presentation, which is so true. The story shows that even if things start bad, they can turn out great if you give them a chance.
