The world didn't end with a bang. It ended with the ticking of a gear. In the nation of Clockworks, there is no room for error, and there is no such thing as free will. The beating of my heart flows along with the rhythmic structure of time. They are intertwined. They can part through moments so I may relieve it and change its pacing-an act of which I had executed.
