"after your soulmate falls in love with you, that's when their name appears on your skin." mark lives in a complicated world. soulmates rarely find each other, so of course he doesn't expect to be any different from most people. only 24% of the population find a single soulmate of theirs, everyone has multiple. if people only had one, it would be impossible to find them. 9% find more than one, because most people stop looking, thinking that one is enough. mark's parents aren't soulmates, and their parents weren't either. so why should mark find his soulmate? you could walk by one of your soulmates in the hallway at school every morning. you could eat lunch beside them every single day. but unless they fall in love with you, you'll never know they were yours. mark's known this since he was a child, but what he doesn't know, is that he finds two of his soulmates.
