(Warning: This contains spoilers!): What happens when an S-tier alpha, someone who swore off omegas after a heartbreak that shattered him, crosses paths with a bold, sharp-tongued omega who's everything he claims to hate? An omega who hides his own wounds behind sass and laughter- someone still unable to move on from the man he once loved so much he wrote an entire book for him... Only for that man to walk away before he ever got the chance to give it. Two butterflies with the same broken wings. Two hearts cracked in different places. Two people who collide instead of meeting. They become rivals before they even know each other's names- annoying, loud, confusing, always pushing the other's buttons as if chaos is the only language they're fluent in. But underneath the arguments and stubborn walls, something unspoken pulls them together: the strange recognition of pain they've both tried so hard to hide. What happens when two people who can't heal themselves accidentally start healing each other- through the fights, the tension, the denial, and the feelings they're both terrified to name?

A busy café, A single father, A sleepy little girl clutching his hand, And a new neighbor who never meant to stay Andrei wasn't looking for change- not until a shutter opens next door, a French accent drifts into his mornings, and something unfamiliar but not unwelcome settles in. Everything was temporary in Jacques' eyes. Nothing was meant to be permanent-not this town, not the café, and certainly not the man next door. The man he couldn't stop thinking about. It started with an empty glass on the counter and the faint smell of wine that lingered long after. Sober decisions. They didn't call it anything. Just assumed. Some loves arrive slowly, warm and quiet.

By day, Haru runs a café. By night, she runs her bar. She has one rule: Don't raise your voice. Haru is extraordinary. The youngest state-certified clinical psychologist of her time, she sold her clinic at twenty-nine and built her own quiet empire-structured, controlled, entirely hers. At thirty-six, she meets Jiyoung. A family court judge who believes in distance, restraint, and lines that should not be crossed. A man who no longer believes in love. And who has long abandoned the idea of marriage. When his world collides with Haru's, distance stops working. Rooms electrify. Silence becomes charged. What begins as observation turns into attention. What feels like control becomes surrender. But before he can stand beside Haru, Jiyoung must learn how to remain whole- while choosing to stand with her.

Some loves arrive quietly, without promises, without certainty, yet leave marks that last a lifetime. I never planned to fall in love. Not with someone who spoke in silences, who smiled gently, who felt like home before I even knew what home was. Our story didn't begin with dramatic confessions, but with small moments: shared glances, late conversations, and a love that grew slowly, almost unnoticed. But love doesn't always mean staying. As distance crept in and words went unspoken, we learned the hardest truth-that sometimes, loving someone means letting them go. There was no betrayal. No hatred. Only two hearts that cared deeply, yet could not walk the same future together. You Were Beautiful, Even Then is a tender story about loving quietly, losing gently, and remembering without regret. Inspired by the emotional essence of DAY6's "You Were Beautiful", this story is for anyone who has ever looked back at a past love and thought: You didn't stay-but you were beautiful, even then.

Tahimik. Simple. Walang gulo.

I realize I have no potential for making a full story with world building, so for the sake of keeping the creative juice going, I'll make oneshots of my characters. Here lies my characters from two books (maybe a few from my never-published ones). Never crossing worlds, but published in one book. This is for you, 老师, for suggesting me to do oneshots :) (Photo found in Pinterest) (I'm new to writing so don't be too mad at repeating words/phrases, misspellings, and mistakes in grammar) (Will occasionally have new pages if I have the motivation to finish one of my many short story parts)
