The only thing holding them back from being the best diner in town is losing the annual Syrup Competition to rival diner "Peaches". Determined to win, Riley's parents throws her into the thick of things one month before the competition. Grabs her by the ear and basically shoves her into the opposing diner, she's forced to go on an undercover mission in order to retrieve top secret information on the syrup their opponents are working on. One of those opponents happen to be the well known, typical douchebag jock, Ryan Moore.

Harley Jenkins is an artist. Well, she tries to be. She also loves Code of Outcasts, the band whose music has helped her through a lot of tough times. Being a tattooed person with dyed hair in a town filled with judgemental people is hard, and the beautiful mix between the music and art is her escape. Code of Outcasts are the biggest band in the world, and Aaron is sick of it. Aaron Lowe, leadsinger in the band, loves the music but is tired of the fame, despite the money raining down, and models hanging off his arm wherever he goes. So he runs away. When Aaron stumbles across some of Harleys art online, and in a spontaneous fit of boredom, decides to start talking to her anonymously, wondering what it would be like to get to know someone who has no idea who he is, friendships are formed. But what will happen when Harley finds out who her friend online really is? And will Aaron be able to see past Harleys imperfect appearance and accept her for who she really is?

One depressed girl in a new school has more secrets than she wants to let on. Its all she can do is keep her facade she creates of a happy, fun-loving teenager up and running. She only has one motto. Keep moving and trust no one. Sorry if I'm bad at descriptions!!! Fair warning, I'm going at a very fast pace, so I won't have enough time to edit this until it's completely finished. The death of the first Batman sets in for Terry McGinnis - the Batman of the future as he finds himself unable to return to his own time, yet also involved in the life of the first Robin, someone he never met in the future. The path forward is definitely unsure, what with entities from different times existing at the same time and not actually making the universe implode, but there are definitely secrets Bruce never told him about. Making matters worse, there appears to be a bleed over from his now non-existent timeline, forcing him to face his past, or his own beginning as Batman on top of dealing with the first Robin. Disclaimer - I don't own Batman Beyond or Young Justice. This is a sequel to my one-shot Gotham's Need, but this is also written for Open Novella 2020. The prompt I picked was number fourteen, "the only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once."

Two hundred years in the future, Earth's rural lands have all but disappeared. It is located in the south pacific and served as a breeding ground for genetic experimentation in the twenty-second century. Its megafauna is unlike anything the planet has ever seen before. However, there are people on the island, called the Kupata, who have been there for as long as anyone can remember. They still live the old way and shoot bows and arrows and gather their food. But the island is not what it seems. Pretending to be shareholders in a science program on the island, the world's richest men are using the island for something terrible. Something the natives call "Thunder Season." Into this world comes Bahati. Bahati was born on the island and wear the claw of the most powerful beast on the island around his neck. He, like the rest of his people, does not know anything about the existence of Metropola and its people. He has never seen those who come to the island from that place. One day, however, he meets a shipwreck victim named James Goodman, who tells him about the rest of the world. James quickly figures out the island's true purpose and he and Bahati escape with a ragtag band of rebels to tell the rest of the world about the atrocities there. Together, they seek the help of the Metropola council and campaign for the Kupatas' freedom. Unfortunately, a strange twist of events sends Bahati back to the island. There, he is subject to the hardest test he has ever had to pass. Losing will mean certain death. Winning will mean freedom for all his people.

Camp Nanowrimo April 2017 Ana Královna has always been fascinated by people. She loves to observe their nature, their interactions, their body language, but above all, she likes to get to know them. That is something proving to be difficult when she meets Benjamin Roy. He is sullen and withdrawn, providing her with little to no information on how to judge his character. He is a mystery. When her friends come up with a bet to give her the perfect excuse to get to know him, Ana knows that she can't back down. By the end of the summer, she has to prove that they know each other on a personal level. But everything becomes a little more difficult when feelings come into play, especially since Ana and Benjamin's whole relationship was based on a bet.
