The novel Candyman I'm writing is a thriller-mystery horror story set in a world inspired by candies and chocolates. The story follows Star, who unexpectedly finds herself in a fantastical place called Sugartopia. In the real world, she was forsaken and died, but somehow, she ends up in this new, mysterious world. As the story unfolds, Star meets other characters like Sacha, Samarth, and others. Together, they hatch a plan to find and rescue Candyman from Queen Liquorice. Their mission takes them through dangerous and treacherous places within Sugartopia, where they must collect special keys to unlock doors that lead to Queen Liquorice's fortress. Their ultimate goal is to defeat Queen Liquorice, save Candyman, and uncover the identity of the killer who has been murdering Sugartopia's residents one by one. The clock is ticking, and they must solve the mystery before it's too late.

A modern retelling of Willy Wonka, with a few twists. Based on the Gene Wilder movie and musical versions, not so much the original book. Unfortunately, the Oompa Loompas do not overthrow the human race in this story, but as you read, remind yourself that they always could.
