Steve Rogers has always felt the need to watch after Natasha Romanoff. Maybe because she was a girl. Maybe because he felt like he needed to keep her safe, but no matter, he took care of her, any way that he could. When the one man she's been with leaves unexpectedly, before Valentine's Day, Steve comes to the rescue.

The title of this story is inspired by a quote from the animated film Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow (2008), where James Rogers - the son of Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff - asks to hear about his parents' adventures.
