They hadn't spoken since Carlos left McLaren, not really. Not since he traded papaya for Ferrari red, not since Lando stopped answering his messages. The silence had stretched between them like a second track, one lined with everything they never said. Then came the crash. One lap in the rain, one violent hit at 185mph, and suddenly Lando's not moving and the world stops turning. Now Carlos is standing in the paddock, helpless, soaked to the skin, staring at a screen that won't cut away from the wreck. He doesn't know if Lando's alive. After a podium at the Monaco GP two friends start to realise their feelings for each other. At first they denied it trying to avoid it at all costs, but it soon became to difficult for the two formula 1 drivers. They had to be together, just once at least. But while one wants more the other shuts it down. This story will have random updates, I don't really have set times to stick too, and I don't really want to, I want to enjoy writing this so that the parts will actually turn out okay, so I hope you enjoy :). Going through some rewrites at the moment since I wrote this originally 2 years ago, this means there might be a longer waiting period between parts.
