A carpe diem poem I wrote for school about PTSD

making the most of life by penning down some thoughts.

When two worlds collide... When prejudice and hatred are intertwined- When perception is distorted- In a game of life and death... Who will survive? The tale of a young American soldier who after accidentally being involved in a ploy created by the “Kill Team”, a group of soldiers who get a thrill from killing civilians, finds himself a captive in the house of several vengeful Afghan men and an interrogator who proves women are anything but weak in times of war. When 18-year-old American bred, Afghan, Reema who is still struggling to move over her grief from losing her father and on a quest to seek redemption, meets ROTC student Ralph, who is struggling to prove himself to his father and avenge his sisters untimely death at the hands of the Taliban-- perception, reality, and misdirected hatred intermingle in the small, insurgent ruled village of Kandahar, Afghanistan.

When I feel like crap, when I feel extremely happy, when I feel pissed off- I write a poem. I pour my emotions into my poems and this is a collection of some of them. Oh yeah, and my friend's poems too. Maybe y'all can relate to a few?

Revelation is a collection of poetry that deals with the souls struggles. It could be who we cling to in times of trouble or how we deal with these battles make who we are and who we become. Revelation consists of ten parts that each part is a different poetic form. Attention to detail is key in writing many different forms of poetry whether it is the amount of syllables in each line or the amount of lines.
