Seize the money in the rugs

When two worlds collide... When prejudice and hatred are intertwined- When perception is distorted- In a game of life and death... Who will survive? The tale of a young American soldier who after accidentally being involved in a ploy created by the “Kill Team”, a group of soldiers who get a thrill from killing civilians, finds himself a captive in the house of several vengeful Afghan men and an interrogator who proves women are anything but weak in times of war. When 18-year-old American bred, Afghan, Reema who is still struggling to move over her grief from losing her father and on a quest to seek redemption, meets ROTC student Ralph, who is struggling to prove himself to his father and avenge his sisters untimely death at the hands of the Taliban-- perception, reality, and misdirected hatred intermingle in the small, insurgent ruled village of Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Everything was quiet at 221B Baker Street until a family friend of John's comes to stay, a 15 year old girl who has decided to bring 2 friends along with her. Of course they unintentionally make Sherlock's life a living hell. However, when a case opens up, and Sherlock just can't seem to solve the puzzle, will the 3 young girls be able to help him, or lead him and John towards and untimely fate? The clock is ticking...

A short story about an unexpected meeting between Emily and a stranger on an ordinary Saturday in the city park. Emily must learn that life is not just a mixture of unpleasant noises and inconvenient social interactions, but a colorful world that resonates with our souls.

She has always been the loner and outcast in her school. Not that she cares anymore. Coming across the school's most popular gang picking on someone, and actually standing up for the poor kid? Unlikely. Having so much problems at hand and wanting to get over senior year as quietly and peacefully as possible, this action might as well be leading her to her own grave. And when the school's bad boy loner and football captain starts to take interest in her? Life gets really interesting.

This is just an assignment I want some peoples opinions on before I submit it. It's a story about carpe diem and I added queer romance into it

You never know how your life will be, you can´t controle every moment of it. But you can live every moment like it's the last. This is the story of Ana´s life. .

The story takes place in the distant future billions of years ahead of our time. The Earth has been saved from annihilation by ancient humans that wanted to protect it for nostalgic reasons. These ancient humans have travelled far beyond Earth but have come back to observe the progress of the beings now inhabiting it. Astredes is a warrior living on the ancient Earth. She has no knowledge of what lies beyond the planet, but intends to find out what happened to the humans who left the planet behind.

Poetry for the Attys This is a collection of poetry I wrote over the last few months. Each poem is special to me in one way or another... Each tells a story. It was interesting to write in forms and styles I hadn't even known existed till I decided to enter this competition. Good luck to everyone.
