Cringe culture is dead, I've convinced myself that I was Ray Reverham in a past life and if you say this car isn't hot you are a liar and a fraud, or worse a coward. Now with that being said, Jackson Storm x reader, only specification regarding Y/N's gender in this fic is that they aren't a girl. We're using they/them pronouns for y/n. This might be a slow burn, but dont get your hopes up. I'm pretty much just making this up as I go, so any suggestions are welcome (within reason of course). This story exists in an alternate universe where Lightning McQueen beats Jackson Storm using drifting. Now, Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm, Cal Weathers, Bobby Swift and Brick Yardley are friends and pull funny pranks on each other. Until one race, a new rookie enters the race. This rookie is a female and calls herself a "one-woman show" and reminds Lightning of his past self. Can Lightning McQueen prove this rookie that winning is not everything there is to racing? (Note: Cruz Ramirez was never a trainer in this universe and there will also be references to the actual Cars 3 Movie). (Cars or the characters in the Cars franchise does not belong to me. It belongs to Pixar and Disney, so please give them credit for this story. All of the other sixteen next generation rookies in the second chapter are my OCs.) This story takes places after Cars 2: The Friendship Bet.
