You might be wondering why I named this book \backslash, why the \? what's your inspiration? And the answer is - There is no reason. I just thought the name with the sign at the beginning was cool so I did it. This was a collection of poems that had no correlation to one another in the start but as time went on and the book evolved; I had implemented a continuum to the last 7 stories as well as categorize and correlate all the poems in order, thus giving meaning to the collection; the name which had no meaning became significant in its own creation, giving itself value from its null beginning.

As a girl who's extremely committed to what they're doing, I'm glad to present my first completed book to myself as a gratitude to all the self harm, insecurities and self doubt I've had for myself mostly caused by overthinking. Us, everyone should know valuing yourself is the best gift you can ever give yourself even if you're just existing; nothing else. Being you is quite enough. I know you're struggling darling and it's okay to struggle. In that case if you're not struggling right now, put your finger right above your nose, check if you're breathing .. So if you are, this is my gift for you, just for surviving this long. Also i haven't still decided an ending nor the start for this but saying all this felt important because you are worth writing for and nobody would say otherwise. - Wednesday 1st January 2025

A collection of poems about my struggles with mental health issues. Writing has always been an escape for me and it has exposed me to some of the most wonderful and creative people this generation has to offer. Their words continue to inspire me to put my own thoughts to paper. This collection represents a time in my life where I could find no light even in the sunniest of days and no hope even when surrounded by friends. I hope that my words can give some lost soul the solace that they are not alone in this world. Just as the words of others has done for me.

There's a different world out there. Where next door neighbours get possessed and get ugly endings. Where tigers make hunters pay the price. But also...a world which is one and the same with ours. Where parents shun you because of your dream. Where sometimes...all you can do is scream until your throat is raw and your heart is broken. Whatever world it is, it is here to be with you. To haunt you and heal you, to cry with you and watch you in your sleep. These may just be short stories. Some of these short tales have been in the back of my mind for quite a while now. But perhaps, if you're interested, you can dive into worlds weaved into tales from the mind of a girl.

This isn't really going to be a story, moreso just a collection of random phrases that come into my head that I think sound cool.

Who are these people, you asked? No one knows but as if a literal reincarnated Demon King is bad, a group of immensely powerful, dangerous, seemingly eldritch entities of horrifying proportions who can and will kill, maimed and torture anyone that dared to incur their wrath. They are many things. But most of all, they are called, 'The Abominations'.
