This is a written version of the tv show Love Island, with some tweaks and stuff to make it more believable. It is told completely from the pov of one character, and it is written as thoughts in their head, which is why the style is a little unconventional. I know parts of it are silly, and I know I've made some continuity mistakes, however I am trying to push through this as fast as I can with as little editing as possible, because of the thoughts process mentioned above. Leaving the keys in the ignition, I crawled toward the passenger side to make my escape. My wobbly legs barely supported me as I stepped into the frigid air. From the side of the road, I crouched down to examine the front of the car completely caved in. The cracked headlights revealed the impact from the side railing. My breathing became shallow and rapid. I tried to think back to Driver's Ed. "If you hit an ice patch while speeding down the highway and spin out of control, but the car is still halfway on the road when you stop and won't move an inch, here's what you should do..." Unfortunately, I never took Driver's Ed. *NOTE: This is a memoir (a written account of an actual event) of the time I was hit by a car in March of 2019.
