A bit further away on the peaks of the Des Trous Mountains a king is trying to save his people. After their unlikely but cliche meeting will they save each other from loneliness and more violent threats or will they go their separate ways?

Just a collection of poems that I'll be writing :) Most of them will be written in the burning of midnight oil; Perhaps with a microwaved cup of yestermorning's coffee in hand, To the rhythm of tiptoeing raindrops upon our sheetmetal roof. That's usually when my emotions and thoughts are the loudest. There's not likely to be a great deal of consistency in terms of mood, as I generally write on a whim, but there is a great chance many of them will be more towards the down end as I sort through the near oppressive feelings that often arise. Let me guys know what you like too :) what you want to see more of, and I encourage you to challenge me on topics for poetry; be it using new/certain words (I love new words!!), forms, picture prompts, a phrase, songs, abstract or concrete ideas, concepts, anything you can pull out of your hat 😁 It can even be random, goofy, theological, philosophical, historical (to get me doing some research perhaps?). I love to learn and try to view things from new perspectives!

Everyone has read or seen those one-shot books, right? Where it's a whole story told in just one chapter on Wattpad. Well this is basically that but with story prompts and back-cover descriptions instead because I'm that bored. Basically you guys in the comments get to challenge me with a string of words or a general prompt and I have to come up with a story description for it like what you'd find on the back cover of a book. Do your worst, stars! Enjoy! PS - No, I don't do mature stories, sorry. Closest thing you'll get to that is something kind of gory.

This is just something I do for fun

A collection of mostly dark flash fiction pieces inspired by 1-4 word challenges readers give me.

Each week you get to decide a theme for a short story I'm writing. I'll pick a random suggestion from the comments and announce the winner when I've completed the challenge! Please help me broaden my writing style and develop my technique, most forms of criticism are appreciated and incorporated. I'm fluent in English and Afrikaans thus I know a lot about Afrikaanse history and the cultural aspects of my language. If you want me to do research about your interests, cultures and/or languages I'm up for that too.
