Hi everyone! Just another Kanej ship fanfiction:) This is my reimagination of the beloved Chapter 26 of Crooked Kingdom that we all know and love and cry over. (Basically, it's the bathroom scene except Kaz doesn't run away from his problems.) I wrote this alternate scene to fill the hole in my heart where I want Kaz to be able to share his wounds with someone at least once in his life, so I've written the scene to be emotional both mentally and physically while still respecting both Kaz and Inej's trauma. The scene picks up right after Kaz kisses Inej on the shoulder, pulling back as all the memories of the day in the harbor come to mind. Inej asks what has happened to him, and I pick up the scene with a few lines of dialogue from the book before jumping into my interpretation:) Kaz opens up to Inej, and they share a meaningful experience where they realize just how much they mean to one another. They are each other's safety in a city that offers none. Disclaimer: I acknowledge both characters' respective trauma, and was delicate with it as I wrote this scene. All actions the characters take are within what I believe they would feel comfortable with, and I tried to keep the nature of their relationship as close to what we've seen in the book before. All characters, setting, and backstory used belong to the amazingly talented Leigh Bardugo!

Emma and Seamus finally get together, but fate has other plans in store for Emma. While she loves Seamus, she find herself being drawn to Draco. Emma Diggory is entirely Emma's. Not my own OC. This story was written for Emma. :3 Yes it is a Mary Sue cliche, but my theory is that if the story is a Mary Sue cliche, it better be the best dang Mary Sue cliche ever.
