Based on The Rookie. What if Lucy Chen and Tum Bradford met before Lucys first day on the job? John and Lucy are not dating in this scenario, and Isobel doesn't exist. I have wrote this based off the popularity on this idea from my latest poll, hope you like it :)

Based on The Rookie but instead of meeting at the LAPD, they meet in high school. From my most recent poll, this seemed to be in favour for the next story so I hope you like it! Switching up the writing style as it took longer stating who is speaking, hope it is obvious who is talking, but it is more of a novel style :)

An undercover operation forces Lucy and Tim to play a convincing couple, even though they can barely stand each other. The fighting is real. The tension is worse. And the longer the mission lasts, the harder it becomes to tell what's fake and what isn't.

Tim Bradford is a 30 year old male. He works at the LAPD. He is very tough and mean but has a soft spot for the people he cares about. His friends are Angela Lopez and Nyla Harper. Lucy Chen is a 22 year old female. She has the most kindest soul. She is very kind and her best friends are Jackson West and Tamara Colins.

One year ago, Tim Bradford broke Lucy Chen's heart and walked away without explanation. Now Sergeant Lucy Chen is stronger, promoted, and determined to never let him close again. Until she's assigned to a four-month undercover operation. Living in a van. Posing as a couple. Driving from Los Angeles down the coast to Baja, Mexico. With her ex. Every touch is "for the cover." Every kiss is supposed to be fake. But the longer they're trapped together, the harder it is to ignore the tension, the memories... and the questions Lucy never got answers to. Hii guys so basically buck Lucy and Maddie r siblings (Lucy was adopted) I originally wasn't gonna post this on here but here we are! I'm still writhing other stories though so don't worry

Tim and Lucy have been coworkers for 20 years. They have always been slightly flirty, but nothing that raises an eyebrow (like Luke and Lorelai from Gilmore Girls) Lucy has a 14-year-old daughter with her husband, Chris. Their daughter's name is Madeline, but they call her Maddie. Lucy has been doing UC work for the past 4 years, but recently went back to patrol so she can spend more time with her family. (Like what Nyla did in season 2)
