Faced with having to take charge of Vinnie, the dogs start to help and manage his adventures. Watching out for him, they learn to accept that family means to look after each other and being older comes with responsibility. This is a great picture book for helping children understand additions to the classroom or family, whether they are pets or a new baby. Children will learn how to be responsible for the new member and that looking out for someone else is not only kind, but a new sort of responsibility, that can be fun. This will make a great addition to any parenting library or in the classroom.

Boots leapt aboard first, declaring it a "Bend Emergency." Pixie followed, sketchpad flapping. Whimsy blinked twice and climbed in backwards. Sebastian tried to protest, but the train let out a soft whistle that sounded suspiciously like Ali's laugh. This wasn't a journey. It was an adventure. And as the train pulled away from the station, the water tower shimmered-like it remembered every Brum fire, every pipi splash, every truth ever told beneath Glen Rock's dusk.

Three adventurous narwhal calves decide to explore a beautiful ice cave positioned in a dangerous part of the ocean which whales call, The Great Deep, a territory forbidden to the young. Throwing caution and their better judgement to the waves, the whales enter the mysterious cave to explore its hidden wonders. When faced with imminent danger, one disaster leads to another and the whales find themselves trapped in the ice cave with a formidable foe. Will they find their way out? Or will the beautiful crystal cave become their icy grave? This is an all ages graphic novel. The moral of the story is to be obedient to parents, to not be afraid of calling on those who love you for help, defending those you love, being brave in the face of danger, and to not be attracted to things that are dark and evil.
