A modern retelling of Willy Wonka, with a few twists. Based on the Gene Wilder movie and musical versions, not so much the original book. Unfortunately, the Oompa Loompas do not overthrow the human race in this story, but as you read, remind yourself that they always could.

This book is a collection of stories depicting your life alongside Willy Wonka - the endearingly eccentric chocolate maker himself. Every one-shot is a fantastical journey or merely another of the mundane trials of entertaining a magician's wild imagination. She is a bit of a flirt and has never had a problem with her love life in the past. Then one day, she breaks up with her boyfriend, Louis, who does not take it very well. Kim still feels no guilt, but when she starts falling for Jonah, she gets a taste of her own medicine. Finally, hippie-like Flo breaks up with her boyfriend Ross after he cheats on her. The hurt from her relationship causes her to never want to fall in love again. To prove her point that love hurts, she writes a novel for a competition to win a camera. Her novel is about her and her friend's experiences as well as her disapproval of her sister's relationship. Being new to all this, the girls share their journey into their possible recovery of Philophobia.
