Kingsley knew she needed a restart. After graduating high school, she knew she needed to get away and start fresh, weather or not she persued a college career. However, two years into college, her aunt needed help on the old family ranch. She never even hesitated to drop everything and go. She was not expecting her aunts ranch to need so much work, and she certainly was not expecting a hard headed "new" cowboy to roll into town, returning from college. He was anticipating that he would get away with things the way he used too because of his dad being the sherif. He was never expecting the dirty blonde who seemed to grab his heart, and refuse to let go.

Stepping Into Myself with God is about the courage to become who God is gently shaping you to be. It is the journey of learning yourself while learning God at the same time. The theme follows a new Christian learning to extend grace to herself as she walks with God, releases guilt, and lets go of the pressure to "get it right." It is about surrendering control and allowing God to be the Captain while navigating unfamiliar waters of faith, identity, and healing. This journey is not linear. It is filled with questions, pauses, and quiet moments where trust is built slowly. Stepping into myself means showing up honestly before God, embracing growth over perfection, and allowing faith to shape identity rather than fear, shame, or past expectations. At its heart, this theme invites readers to see faith not as losing oneself, but as finally coming home to God, and to the self He is lovingly revealing.

Just as I feared, a loud voice filled the air, cutting through the silence that followed the collision. 'What the hell do you think you're doing?' Mario thundered, his voice filled with rage. My heart raced as I turned to face him, my cheeks burning with shame. 'I-I'm so sorry,' I stuttered, my voice was barely above a whisper. 'I didn't mean to...' 'You didn't mean to?' Mario let out a bitter and scornful laugh. He stepped forward, his eyes narrowed as he took in the dent on his car. 'Do you have any idea how much this car costs? You're going to pay for this, you pathetic loser.' He growled. He grabbed my bike and threw it to the ground, breaking the chain and bending the wheels. 'That's for starters,' he said, his face twisted with malice. 'You owe me ten thousand dollars, and you better have it by the end of the week, or else...' He left the threat hanging in the air, as he got into his car and drove away, leaving me in a state of shock and fear. I felt tears sting my eyes as I looked at my ruined bike. Was this it?
