It's the 74th Annual Hunger Games. Cato and Clove meet when Cato saves her from almost dying. The two become friends instantaneously but sometimes a friendship is more than meets the eye.

Seventy-four years has been long enough. The way of the infamous Hunger Games has been altered. No longer is every Gamemaker out to devise the worst means of torture and death for every tribute. No longer are the people of Panem outwardly tolerant of President Snow's murderous actions. Under the facade of a normal group of Gamemakers, several rebellious citizens have begun an experiment which, if it succeeds, will make use of technology both to rescue the tributes before they are dead and then deposit the brainwashed children back in time. They have to try it. No one knows what horrors future Hunger Games may bring, and the desperate rebels are willing to try anything. Meanwhile, in the mountainous regions of District 2, Cato Hadley and Clove Kentwell have trained their whole lives for the Games. Nevertheless, their ambitions change when they, without meaning to, find themselves in the Games together. They are both determined to win. But if they don't, what will happen to them? The brainwashed tributes who land in New York City know nothing of who they are or where they are from. They do not remember Panem, or the Games, or even their own names. This is a science fiction story based off the Hunger Games and its characters. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Hunger Games! So these are my opinions on the tributes don't get offended if I don't like your favourite character. These are my opinions. *All the tributes and characters belong to the amazing Suzanna Collins*

I swear the story is better than the description. Clove is a sixteen year old girl that makes the long move from England to Los Angeles CA, where she is accepted to the school for the talented: Panem Boarding School. There, she is met with a shocking culture change, and a brand new group of friends. Will she soften her normal tough, and sarcastic exterior? Or will she keep building her walls high and wide to avoid getting hurt once more? Her choice seems to be quite clear at first, but a certain blond-haired blue-eyed boy seems to throw a wrench in her plan. Cato Hadley. //P.S. I suck at writing descriptions... but the rest of the story will be pretty detailed so don't worry :) So this mainly a Clato fanfiction with touches of Everlark, Fannie I'm trying to do MAJOR edits on this story so please bare with me. -Cløver//

Clove Kentwell is a killer. Or so everyone thought.

Clove never knew her parents. All she knows is her trainer Favian who sometimes doubles as her dad, and sometimes falls far short of looking out for her. In district 2 they train you not to be heartless, but to ignore your heart. After years of solitude with Favian her only family Clove has mastered this skill almost as well as she's mastered knife throwing. When new training partners for the year are assigned the day after the 73rd reaping, a mistake is made. Clove ends up partnered in the wrong age category with next years best contender for the crown: Cato Hadley. Everyone is jealous but Clove has bigger problems to deal with than her annoying partner. She has a secret that she's kept hidden for years and only Cato can save her from herself.

I got tagged, this is my response.

Clove trained her entire life for the Games. She left District 2 to escape her father and tormentor, Favian, and bring honor to her District. Against all odds she and Cato both managed to survive. But one of them was meant to die in the arena. And President Snow is furious. Unless Clove can convince everyone she is the heartless, brutal, killer she was born to be, everyone she loves will die. This includes letting go of whatever she and Cato had--even their friendship. In the aftermath of the Games, District 2 becomes a minefield of secrets and lies. Ghosts from Clove's past appear in the day as ghosts from the arena haunt her nights. In this sequel to "Clato: Cuts Beneath the surface" Clove struggles with hiding her breaking heart and surviving the Victory tour. She begins to wonder if it would have been better to have died in the arena.
