Its goal is to highlight humanity's destructive nature and to challenge the way we see ourselves.

The eruption of Tonga's underwater volcano, in January 2022, vaporized 150 million tons of seawater and shot a geyser of super heated steam through the stratosphere. The water vapour, a strong greenhouse gas, may increase global temperatures for at least five years. For the past 800,000 years, atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) was about 290 parts per million (ppm). Many people believe the current atmospheric CO2 concentration of 415 ppm is causing global warming. (While commercial greenhouses use 1000 to 1500 ppm of CO2 to optimize plant growth). But . . . there is no correlation between temperature and atmospheric CO2 over the past 500 million years, so CO2 does not appear to directly affect the temperature. And . . . the automatic thermostatic effect of a small increase in cloud cover could offset the effect of greenhouse gases by reflecting more solar radiation back into space. Between 717 and 635 million years ago, the Earth was probably covered in ice and snow. However, between 56 and 34 million years ago the average temperature near the poles was 25°C warmer than it is today. The Little Ice Age devastated harvests in Europe from 1300 to 1850 CE, causing starvation and sickness. Wood was expensive so, in London, England, people began burning coal despite the smoke and dirt. But . . . almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors. In the past 70 years, the average life span increased from about 40 years to more than 80 and the average world income grew from less than $3 to more than $33 per person per day. This explosive growth in productivity (largely as a result of fossil fuels) was responsible for astonishing improvements in health, education, and longevity. Eliminating fossil fuels will cause massive declines in productivity but the average person is still expected to be four times richer by 2100 CE despite disruptions. Prequel to MyccoHaccers It's nearly 2200, and the StarSeeker cult has become the dominant cultural force. Fire Season now takes up over half the year, and in some places the smoke never clears. Governments and corporations manage civil society with the sole goal to find and train the next generation's geniuses to find a way out of this mess. They operate under the new ethos that every life can be made useful - and people marvel at the technological wonders that come out of this. Gwythyr Gwin Bwyrdd, a mycologist from the Adar O'r Unlliw territory of Wales, is one such beneficiary of a social system that provides for everyone's needs. With tireless support for their cognitive and behavioral needs, Gwythyr succeeded in their 20s and 30s in breaking the mycelium-animalia communication barrier, and subsequently producing much needed wonder-materials for their employer. By their mid-40s, however, the apocalypse and personal losses have taken quite a toll, and their output has long since dropped. The question of whether Gwythyr has ceased to be useful and ought to be 'retired' - a prospect which certainly does not come with all the supports they've relied on their whole life. One person still has faith, though - Mildred Wainright, ruthless CEO of Red Rhobi, an American agricultural conglomerate. Dream Paradise tells a story of sixteen year-old Abinla Perelayefa who lives in the oil cloaked Bayelsa State with her mother and brother. The effect of the oil industry on the people's health, and their farmland stirred her towards having the dream of building paradise that would be free from environmental catastrophe. Will it be possible for this lowly girl to build her dream world in this broken climate?

This is a blog post wherein I have highlighted how humans will evolve emotionally and physically to cope with the challenges in 2075. And in 2075, the vividness of these changes will be monumental. And for humans in 2075 adapting to the world that would exist in 2075, will be their only chance of survival. This blog post can be treated as a sort of guide to achieving this adaptation. And let me assure you, this blog post does not ignore the dangers and threats we will be facing from our technological advancements and unstoppable, but still preventable climate change.

An insight into my mind

Here, rumours fly that a genetic mutation - a direct result of atmospheric change - has taken hold in many individuals, yielding telekinesis. Caius knows he's one of them. Two warring secret societies will literally pull Caius into their underground sanctuaries. One will start a rebellion for a better world. The other seeks quiet peace. He wants both. But both would make him a sword-wielding murderer.
