In a dystopian future, an acidic flood reigns and the only signs of old life lie in the deep. Alex - an outcast with an inquisitive mind and a set of strangely specific skills - must navigate a world where she is shunned from the safety of the domes and stuck in the water. One day, while exploring a set of deep-sea ruins, she is haunted by a mysterious spirit; a spirit that seems to be warning her of something. #7 IN EXPLOSIVES ON 14/9/2023 #6 IN EXPLOSIVES ON 19/9/2023 My grandparents say that I was born in an unfortunate time. They always tell me about the old world, where we were allowed to go outside and breathe cool, fresh air, without the inconvenience of having to wear a cooling suit just to prevent ourselves from roasting in the heat. I don't believe them. For me, these are all just stories. Stories of a world long gone. The richer ones get transported to Mars to live. They say it's a paradise. For the 700 million of us left on Earth, we're starting to lose hope. My best friend, Mayday, comes along with me on scavenging trips and we find whatever we can in the ruins of buildings for our families to either eat, drink or use to cool ourselves off. When the authorities move us to Antarctica, it's a paradise. But just like all good things, it's always short-lived.

Killer Whales, commonly known as Orcas, have been a symbol of the West Coast for thousands of years. They hold a very special place among Canadians, especially among indigenous peoples, who regard them as a symbol of power, family bonds, and an inspiration for humanity. Sadly, these beautiful, intelligent, sentient beings are struggling to survive in an environment that has become almost alien to them. Due to human activities, only 73 Southern Resident killer whales remain alive today. Lack of availability of Chinook Salmon, a significant part of their diet, as well as pollution of their native waters, and disturbances caused by large vessels are just some of the many challenges these creatures face.

Sometimes being a hero means learning to save yourself.

Two space explorers embark on a mission to Jupiter's moon Europa yet on the way there the GPS system, says "Arrived at Destination," even though their initial destination is still three months away. This technical difficulty sends them on a journey that may uncover a centuries-old secret- Or will it?

This short science fiction story is about the responsibility we share as residents of the planet Earth towards doing something about Climate Change and Global Warming. A reticent and languid approach will not work now, because with rising incidents of heat waves, human population is at war with its own ill calculated and self destructive investments in the form of growing Global Warming and Climate Change, threatening the survival of human species across the globe. The beauty of this short science fiction story lies in its ability to make the reader's mind interact with these issues with a subtleness that is assertive, yet reassuring that we all can do something to change the situation in our favour. Where Earth will still be able to support life in the years ahead. Especially in 2075 and beyond.

In the uncomfortably not-so-distant future, the world has been ravaged by natural disasters, water shortages, and public apathy. People like Kai Gilling have flocked to the desert (once known as the American West) in hopes of finding a better life. After picking up a pair of siblings, the three come across a strange woman who claims to have a map to Arcadia, an urban legend rumored to be the only city thriving in the wreckage of the old world. Will they keep their hearts set on an oasis in the desert--even if it's just a mirage? Or will they be tempted by something else

The year is 2024. Humans have made a few mistakes. After the ice caps melted, the gulf stream stopped regulating earths temperature, Europe froze over, while America suffered from great heat. The only habitable place left are cities on the worlds oceans. A group of american survivors tries to reach the east coast to get a boat and to escape the desert that is America.
