This is the second book in a series, the first book called Panem High School. This book picks up at the end of the summer and continues the stories surrounding characters from The Hunger Games.

Cato hates Clove and Clove hates Cato. It's as simple as that, until one day Clove's parents die. Then Clove's new parent live beside Cato. Cato starts to see how pretty she is. Soon after that, Clove falls for him. And then they both get reaped for The Hunger Games...

He has just moved to Panem and catches the eye of a certain group of friends. Follow, these friends through there last years at Hunger Games High and watch as certain peoples backstories unfold. It's time for the 74th annual hunger games, it's Clove's turn to volunteer for the hunger games but when Cato also volunteers, that means they are fighting for the chance to keep there lives and be named victor. It is the 74th reaping two young girls one from 2 the other from 12 volunteers for two different reasons. The girls slowly fall in love but keeps it to themselves. Will jealousy tear them apart what will happen..
