Daniel believed living in the moment was the way to go, and it was necessary to let go once in a while. When these two meet, their striking personalities collide...in a cafe.

As usual to start my day I went to my FAVORITE coffee shop but something unusual happened. As soon as I stepped in the sweet smell of coffee was replaced by deadly smell of cold blood. I desired to leave but just as I turned around someone stopped me. and said. "We were just waiting for you. At 18, Daisy's life was normal with schooling and her part time job as a barista. One simple chemical reaction made her too self conscious with people, although the damage was only on her eyes brows and merely temporary. A stranger's appearance at her workplace with his weird stare at her hideously designer brows and a wrong tasting order could have all been a deal breaker. Instead, she was left with a two valuable lesson. One on appreciating life's inflicted scars even though temporary and another; strangers can touch and change one's lives too. What seemed a typical visit to the coffee shop for Cassinda ended up in a disaster when a man was murdered and the detectives found a trace of her magic on the body. _ My entry for the Coffee and Crime Contest. Prompt: You walk into your usual coffee shop to grab a cup, but as you enter, someone suddently nudges you on the shoulder and says, "you've finally arrived, our main suspect." That's when you glance around to see yellow duct tapes all over the place.

Through playful banter and a bit of flirting, she finds herself enjoying the conversation a lot more than she cares to admit. Conflict arises when Justin has to leave sooner than expected and Maddie finds herself in a crossroads between letting him leave or mustering up the courage to ask him to stay.
