She ran from the world that tried to own her-barefoot, bleeding, and alone-but fate doesn't let girls like Bilah rest easy. Captured by men who saw her as nothing more than a price or a plaything, she escaped one cage only to fall into another. But when the prairie fills with the war cries of a Comanche raid, she finds herself saved by someone no less dangerous: a boy with sharp eyes, too many questions, and a maddening grin. Tosakobe is everything she doesn't understand-wild, proud, infuriating-and determined to claim her as his. She isn't sure if she hates him, or if he's just the first person who ever saw her not as a body, but a mystery. Maybe both. Maybe neither. Either way, freedom isn't quite what she expected it to be. Or: A 1860s Love Story between a Runaway Slave and a Comanche Warrior.

I Voyage I can't say that I caught a wink of sleep last night. There was a sense to grapple with my will. I have always leaned towards going to the America's. My heart races when I think of it. Scotland been my home. Even with the constant bickering and bloody battles between clans. God gives each man wisdom. A mind, heart and soul to make this decision. I have made peace with my anx in leaving my homeland. One thing I hold onto, is wherever I am, Scotland will be with me. The sky looks ominous and the wind is treacherous. Storm is brewing almost coaxing us not to go. We the have men and woman walk the streets towards where the ship is docked. The rough waves are rocking the boat before we even depart. I can see the mates preparing the mast and sails for the arduous journey. This Earl of Perth Expedition has been pen on signs all about town. We are all coming with the clothes on our back and a few things. Ah, I see Captain Patrick McGregor and his good wife Margret. I was delighted they chose to go. I know them well enough. I'm sure I'm not the only man from The Clan Sutherland. Good people of Scotland are boarding the ship. I wave and to The Mc Gregor. Margaret seemed more at peace as she smiled and waned back. It's good to have friends we can count on. Especially, fellow Scots. I thank Hod above that I am not alone. This indeed is not alone. This indeed is willing us forward. The ship is creaking and moaning as we board. I smile and laugh to my self with courage. Many brave hearts are here. You can feel God gorging us together as one as we say our good bye's to our families and Scotland.

Posted weekly on Monday "sounds like big bro got a hot witch girlfriend and little bro got upset" This is the story of two orphaned brothers in Colonial America during the witch trials. One of them falls in love with a real witch. Inspired by lore from The Owl House, this is my own personal retelling of the story between Caleb and Philip Wittebane and the witch, Evelyn Clawthorne. After nearly 15 hours of researching Colonial America and the Salem Witch Trials, this story has long since departed from the original limited narrative from The Owl House. As such, I've changed the characters names, and will be adding a lot of my own elements. However, the core theme still remain the same. From Historic Jamestowne archives: James Brumfield or Richard Mutton, early teens, died May 1607, a few weeks after arriving at Jamestown There was a siege at Jamestown before the fort was palisaded and reinforced Next to the boy's left femur was a Contact-period quartzite projectile point. The point had likely been embedded inside the individual's left thigh at the time of death. It is possible that the boy was the young man mentioned by Captain John Smith as being killed in May of 1607 during an attack by the Virginia Indians - an attack that precipitated the rapid palisading of the fort. "Indians the day before assalted the fort . . . most of the Counsel was hurt, a boy slaine. . . . With all speed we pallisadoed our Fort." Smith lists four boys among the first 1607 colonists-Samuell Collier, Nathaniell Pecock, James Brumfield, and Richard Mutton. There is evidence to suggest that Collier and Pecock lived beyond 1607, leaving either Brumfield or Mutton as strong candidates for this individual since their names do not appear in later record. From genealogical records and various stupid people's blogs, they claim that James Brumfield survived and is their ancestor. I wrote this story for a historical fiction class, and it had to be 750 words or less. I was hoping to round it out.

The Colony of Connecticut in 1773. Christina O'Donovan's beloved older brother was dead. Her father, a veteran of the French and Indian War, was injured and unable to keep up with the family farm. And so she'd reluctantly agreed to a marriage with a miner who worked at the local Simsbury copper mines. His courtship was a business transaction - nothing more. But when Seth somehow slipped and fell, descending a ladder he'd traversed a thousand times before, Christina was drawn into a maze of subterfuge she never could have imagined coming. And at its center stood William Johnson Crawford, a New Hampshire man who would change her life forever. ... Newgate Prison Copper Mines and the The Irish Lass - A 1700s Colonial America Sweet Romance Novella is a historical series set around the real-life copper mines in Simbsbury, Connecticut. In the late 1700s these mines had been run dry. They were then converted into the infamous Newgate Prison, one of the first federal attempts in the new United States to hold and incarcerate dangerous men. These mines were notorious in their own time, spawning delightfully adjective-rich newspaper write-ups as well as terror amongst the Tories who were threatened with a stay. The history and many characters are as authentic as I can make them. William Johnson Crawford is a documented person from this timeframe. You can read these novellas one at a time as I write them, or you can wait until I finish the boxed set and present the complete story. Some readers prefer to read as I go, while others like to wait. It's wholly up to you which you prefer! Contact me with any questions - I'd love to hear your feedback and ideas! And definitely make plans to visit Newgate when you can. It is an absolutely amazing experience, to descend into those historic copper mines and to feel what it was like.

Sutton, Massachusetts. 1675 Many reverends are preaching from the pulpit that the natives must be driven out. That the fertile lands of the new world are intended by God Himself for the newcomers who swarm in ever-increasing numbers from England. Prudence isn't so sure about that. She and her father have been traveling the quiet pathways of central Massachusetts for years now, spreading the good word, and their message is of peace and friendship. One of the converted "praying villages" they work with is named Manchaug, and the locals there have a special place in her heart. Especially Askuwheteau - "He keeps watch". In another world they might have fallen in love. They might even have married and raised a loving family. But this is 1675, and Christian girls simply could not do such a thing. Her father would absolutely refuse to allow it, despite all his care in saving the souls of the heathens. And so her only hope is to spend a few precious days talking with Askuwheteau during her seasonal visit. She will treasure each hour they can spend together. Her small wagon crests the hill - Manchaug is in ashes. * * * Manchaug is the first of new short story series exploring the tumultuous world of Massachusetts in the late 1600s. It examines how the tens of thousands of incoming colonists tumbled up against the existing natives with increasing chaos. These books can be read singly or as a boxed set, once I write ten of them. Some people enjoy reading as I write while others prefer to wait and binge-read in a set. The stories contain no explicit violence nor intimacy. As such, they are suitable for teens and up. Half of all proceeds from the Manchaug series benefit battered women's shelters.

17 year old Aspen Warren was cursed by a demon in the year 1785, and was only released from the curse a little over 230 years later to find himself lost in the modern world. And while he's begun to grow used to the way everything works, there's still one thing that bugs him: that the rest of the world, completely unaware of his circumstances, sees his tale as an unsolved mystery and presumes him to be dead. But Aspen is alive, and he's determined to set history straight. Note: This is the first time I'm publishing a story on here. I mainly wrote this to test everything out because I'd like to start posting my writing more often. I mainly just wrote this for fun, and I don't know if I'll add anything else to this yet.

The Diary of Xander Tully is a historical horror story set in the years before America was a nation in the still very wild, wooded area along the modern day Michigan-Canada border. French-Canadian settlers have colonized an area near the River Raisin-a village they call "Montcalm" after one of the colony's oldest families. Enter Xander Tulley, printer by trade, and stranger to the area. He sets up shop in Montcalm, and starts the village's first newspaper. When Tully becomes curious about a local legend concerning a group of old stones in the nearby woods, the colonists claim no knowledge of it: "We go not hither into darkling woods, Mr. Tully. We are a god-fearing people. We know our place. It is a frame of mind we heartily recommend." There is no visible path to the outcropping of stones-reaching it is difficult unless you know the woods well. The stones cluster around a cave-like opening in the earth five or six paces across. A grove of trees surrounds the area in an almost perfect circle. The rest of the woods is made up of conifers, and other evergreens, with a scattering of deciduous trees whose leaves change color during the autumn equinox. But the trees near the cave won't change color until autumn has bled into winter, and an "Indian Autumn" seeps in; then, almost overnight, their leaves turn the color of firelight and stay that way while December creeps along toward the winter solstice. The morning after, the trees stand like sentinels-bare as gaol bones-not a leaf in sight. The tale of the woods is an old one. And some geographies, some secrets, lay undisturbed for a reason. Xander Tulley has been dreaming about the burning trees. His obsession with the woods leads him to an indigenous tribe that once dwelt along River Raisin. It is in this tribe's myths and legends, wrapped tight in an ancient language, that Tulley begins to see something form from the forgotten shadows of time, something that once breathed life, and should have been left alone.

America, home of the Occult freedom, slavery masters, and Fathers of greed seems to be the story everyone has forgotten. Corpus Republica is a smart, mind-bending thrill ride through the secret history of the United States. Follow a young Benjamin Franklin as he stumbles upon a hidden book that pulls him into a world of hidden societies, mystical science, coded letters, and dangerous passions that shaped the soul of a nation. Alongside rebels like Thomas Paine and the ever-enigmatic Jefferson, Franklin navigates a revolution not just of politics, but of power, prophecy, occult and desire. Based on real events-but twisted through the lens of forgotten truths-this book dares you to question what's real, what's imagined, and what was never meant to be uncovered. Witty, wild, and wickedly intelligent-Corpus Republica isn't just a book. It's a revelation.
