Melody has been friends with Finn since they were little kids playing at the playground. Over the years Melody has grown to like Finn more that just a friend. However, Finn does not feel the same way towards Melody. In fact he doesn't like girls at all. Finn is secretly a homosexual. He has always liked boys..But he could never say anything for the fear his abusive parents would kill him, or his best friend would turn her back on him. Will Melody accept Finn as he is? Or will their friendship shatter and leave them both heartbroken?

I wanted to tell her today. I've said that to myself everyday for the past seven months now, but I guess it gets harder and harder every passing day, every passing week, every passing month. How I was going to tell her was the hardest part, it was like getting a birthday gift for your friend, so many choices, wondering if they will like it or not, and if they will actually accept it. But this isn't a birthday party, this is when I find out if my mom will really "love me no matter what," like she always says to me before we go to sleep. (This is from a school project and I'm actually semi-proud of it, I took the final submitted copy and added some stuff, edited it, yada yada. I don't usually write these kinds of stories, most of the stuff I write is full of fictional stuff, comedy, fantasy, etc. So don't be surprised when it sucks more than my other stuff.
