Open: 🌊 Judging: 🐋 Closed: 🦈 The doors to the Oceans vault have been opened. Now the secrets of truth flood into the land. The Sailors step foot onto the docks, their stories in hand, in search to know if it is real. One morning the sun shall rise, but so will the Sirens. In the middle of the sea, their deadly song shall ring across the ripples. The Sailors jump in, one after another. Their stories stay on the ship, forgotten even after it is sunk. Though, the stories of the luxurious Sirens live through the land, each one told over and over again. Even if they are sunk, it shall live on. Now it is time to find which story yours is. Whether you're a Sailor who's story is only for a short time, or a Siren whose story lives on forever. We welcome you into the vault of the Ocean. Our Queen shall decide the fate of your soul.

Ashley Ketchum's alarm clock blared like a wild Jigglypuff concert gone wrong. She groaned and slapped at it blindly, missing twice before finally smacking it silent with a loud clunk. The sunlight was merciless, creeping in through the gap in her curtains and landing right across her face. "Ugh, Sun! Take a hint," she mumbled, yanking her blanket over her head. For a split second, she entertained the brilliant idea of using Dig to escape deeper under the covers. Her toes wiggled as if prepping for action, but her brain kicked in a moment later. Today wasn't just any day-it was the day. Her eyes shot open like a Staryu's gem, and she bolted upright in bed, her blanket flying off her like a Togekiss taking off. "Today's my first day as a trainer!" she squealed, practically vibrating with excitement. She threw her legs over the side of her bed and stood up so fast she almost tripped on her Pikachu-patterned pajama pants.

To keep myself from losing track of: all the 2025 contests I've entered, all the 2025 contests I've volunteered myself as a judge (or let myself be volun-told into judging), all the 2025 books I've had to read as a contestant or as a judge, all the 2025 deadlines, and all the other important stuff, here is a book that registers all these 2025 things in a somewhat organized fashion. With occasional commentary. Nota bene: Although other people are welcome to browse my public contest logs and look for contests, look for information about details of contests (i.e. you want me to pour you some tea), etc, these contest logs are primarily for my own use. I enter so many contests that I can't keep track of them without a log. I forget important details, too, including things like "Note to self: You do not get along with this contest host, best not participate in their contests." Like my 2024 contest log, this was never meant to be an "expose" book. I'm not exposing anybody. Contests are matters of public record, as are any comments made in the contest books. I'm just a ditz who needs a written log to keep track of everything. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my shoulders. I DO NOT CONSENT TO MY POETRY AND PROSE BEING USED TO TRAIN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

On the run, Willow stumbles into a bandit ambush and is rescued by a lone traveler. He reluctantly agrees to help protect her on the forest paths if she can guide him to his destination. His distant demeanor suddenly changes after she returns his cloak, not realizing he is a selkie, nor aware that if someone returns a selkie's cloak, the selkie falls in love with them. As they travel, she discovers that he's everything she ever wanted in a husband, but learns that it comes at a cost - and that cost is his freedom. Note: If you're looking for a typical lore-based selkie story, I'm afraid you won't find it here. But if you're looking for a hopeful selkie and an uninformed human, then you have come to the right place. ONC 2025 awards: Ambassador's pick award, Round 2 winner, and Short List award. Based on the Open Novella Contest prompt #110: "20 days of freedom." Cover was made with incredible patience by: SayWatt74 (Cardin Watts)

✨First Place + Grand Winner of ONC 2025✨ (thank you!) In the wake of her estranged mother's death, Maricel Ferrer returns to her childhood home to confront the dark secrets she left behind. 🪞 Maricel has spent years trying to forget the house she grew up in - the house where her mother's mental health slowly unraveled. But after receiving unexpected news, she has no choice but to return. The old fears should be gone, just like her childhood "imaginary friend" who liked to appear in her reflection. At first, it's easy to dismiss the strange occurrences: a flicker in the glass, a movement that doesn't quite match hers. But then the reflection smiles when she doesn't. Moves when she's still. Whispers things she doesn't want to hear. By the time Maricel realizes the truth - that the thing in the mirror has been waiting for her return - it's too late. Because now, it wants out. And it wants to take her place. ONC 2025 | Exclusively on Wattpad Prompt 55: What if the person you see in the mirror isn't really you, but something that's been watching you this whole time? Prompt 105: Your childhood imaginary friend, who disappeared years ago, suddenly returns - only this time, they're real. © 2025 Darly Jamison. All Rights Reserved. Two royal siblings - the Crown Prince and Crown Princess - have reached the age to wed. Their parents, the King and Queen, are alive but aging, and decree that whichever heir secures the greatest alliance and public favor through marriage will rule the realm. To maintain peace between the divided kingdoms of the realm, the monarchs announce the Unity Trials, a grand competition where both heirs must choose a spouse from a pool of carefully selected candidates - nobles, dignitaries, and foreign envoys - representing every major province and rival nation. The Trials are broadcast to the entire kingdom. Citizens (You guys) can vote for their favorite contestants, influencing who stays or is dismissed. But beneath the glimmer of romance and politics, a secret rebellion is brewing. Unknown to the royals, several contestants have infiltrated the palace as part of a coordinated assassination plot.
