If you are dealing with writers block, unable to think of any ideas, need a break from your story and/or want to get more reads on your story--this is the place for you! We are two people: Orchid & Animania and want to reward you for your dedication in writing. As the title suggests, this is a contest. We post new prompts every single month, which means there will be a winner every single month. We encourage you to give this a shot. After all, what's the worst that can happen?

As Edwyrd Eska approaches his two-hundredth year as Guardian of the Core, he must find an Apprentice to train under him. An old adage goes: “the toughest trials test you truest” – and these events challenge their fortitude through tenuous partnerships, intellectual rivalries, and battles of weapons’ mastery. Along the way, each contestant must attempt to overcome personal demons that haunt them. In this tale of ideal dreams and lucid aspirations, these competitors find theirs threatened by deceit, betrayal, sabotage—and even flesh—as all become vital to success…

In each round, there will be a number one based on our average rankings which will get a small award for winning, and a disadvantage for the next round. The loser will be eliminated each round! A BBC SHERLOCK WRITING COMPETITION Welcome to the On the Side of the Angels (OSA) competition! We've watched the escapades of our favorite crime-solving duo over the two seasons that we have been given. Our tears fell along with Sherlock in the Reichenbach Fall. All of us have waited patiently (okay, maybe not so patiently) for series three of one of our favorite shows ever. But what if you had the chance to take the reins of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson? Just a quick story rushed for a warm-up for my English exam :/ The year is 2034 Edward Moseby is a fifty-year-old homeless man who lives in a dumpster in New York City. One night, he falls for a trap and is taken by some men to compete in 'The Survivalist', an illegal game show broadcast to the world via the internet. What the men at the show don't know is that Edward has a past that could help him win the game, and Edward has vowed that when he wins, he will find the creator and make him wish he was never born. Suddenly, the hunter becomes the hunted, and no one is safe. Can Edward win The Survivalist, and if so, can he put an end to this madness?
