This book is proof that I'm alive .While writing the book I went through blood loss, immobilization, interruption, refusal, many tears and screams of happiness that I could write again. It sounds like something small, but when you lose it it is very significant. What happened to me taught me something very simple - to be grateful. I am also grateful that I was able to finish this book with my wounded hand.

Dance is an art and art is genderless. Who are we to judge how and who should express themselves? Being a male belly dancer is not an easy decision, especially in the society where masculinity is the only norm for men and anything else is considered feminine. But still, at the end, let's hope this changes and only the dance could be judged not the gender of performer or the dance form. Let's hope for acceptance... someday it will come true.
