He keeps his job hidden from everyone because he's ashamed and overwhelmed with depression. Krillin has physically changed: he lost all his muscle mass and now has a softer, curvier physique with a slim waist, a slight tummy, a fuller butt, and thicker thighs. He has short, dark hair styled in a bob that frames his face, which now has chubby cheeks and full lips, making him look absolutely beautiful to others. However, he perceives himself as weak and fragile. To hide his body, he wears oversized sweatshirts and stays mostly at home in his small apartment or works behind the register in the grocery store situated outside the city. He rarely attends Bulma's annual get-together to catch up with friends, showing up only occasionally just to avoid concern. Krillin conceals his shame and depression deep inside, maintaining a calm outward appearance to deceive those around him. His facade has been effective so far; they do not know where he works or how deeply depressed he is, and he avoids encounters by working in a quiet store away from the city.
