Who was this lady in the hospital and how did she wind up having their old phone number? "No ma'am, but I'd happily come down to investigate. She could be connected to an old case my partner and I had." "Understood, I'll write your name down and have a badge ready when you arrive. Take care." The line buzzed and Sam turned his phone off.
