a serial killer in a ghost town. a presence in the winds. a corrupted city with corrupted people. this story was based on a roleplay i did with a cousin, but i tried to add more depth/lore to the story in the writing. "the winds" or the presence that our main character makes out of is an entity watching over them. (for clarification, in the roleplay there was a demon watching over a human and influencing their mind. so i made the mc/human believe that "the wind" was its own spirit that guided them.)

In the near future, the world has been torn by a war between a mutant race known as the Valens and the humans. Arianne along with her brother Sam find themselves caught in the middle, orphaned and barely surviving. Arianne,who belongs to neither race, finds herself unwillingly drawn to Calen a Valen recruiter. But her world becomes submerged with chaos, as death and destruction fills the real world. Perhaps some truths were best left buried as she finds out lies that could break her.

When Astri arrives at a deserted part of the city, she doesn't realise that she's going to get a surprise. A small surprise....

So this is my first story so I'd really appreciate feedback. As a child, you were always into planes, weren't you? Great, just great. Stuck in the middle of nowhere. Bet you weren't thinking you'd crash, huh? I guess this is how life is. To be honest, this place wouldn't have been so bad if there weren't a bloodthirsty demon around. At times like these, you've got to rely on others to live. Ten years later, you might have phones and cars found in even the most remote places on Earth, but you'll never forget our survival of the fittest.
