Dan is a musician. As of now, a relatively unknown musician. His band Edge of Sanity is reeling off the success of their last 2 albums, Purgatory Afterglow and The Spectral Sorrows. His touring schedule is growing tighter, and his stress and inner turmoil is growing fiercer. More and more bands are flocking into Unisound Studios, and more and more is piling on his plate. Nighttime is the only time Dan can get some solace, a break with the constant mixing and bickering with his band members. One day after a particularly exhausting day of writing and recording, while thinking about his friend Mikael's new project, Orchid, he falls asleep due to his fatigue. In his dreams he is transported to a magical place. A liminal space where there's no one to push him around, a space where nothing is what it seems.
