Para Avan, es la sentencia final, la confirmación de que su vida nunca le pertenecerá. Para Carter, es la cruel ironía de ver su amor más profundo convertido en un contrato político (es canon, finalmente) Juntos, deberán navegar las aguas traicioneras, con nueva compañía: el cínico caballero francés Lucien Delaunay (un personaje nuevo en este AU). Pero la amenaza más peligrosa se alza desde Bernhard: Stefan, el "Fénix" despiadado y regente (que ya conocimos en la historia origen que todavía voy a corregir en el futuro).
