Mia rubbed her tear-stained cheeks, wondering how such an awful accident could happen. All of the sudden, memories of what had happened came flooding into her mind, like they were being put there forcefully.
Bright lights. That's all she saw. Two bright lights. Mia's mother and father, they were hand-in-hand, squeezing there hands tightly. Mia didn't have time to scream, or cover herself, because the front of an eight-wheeler was already pushed into the windshield of the car. Her vision was blurry, but she could still make out the outlines of everything. She moved, shakily to the door, trying to find the handle to open the door. Once she found it, she quickly pushed open the door; she wasn't able to grab onto anything before she tumbled out and down a steep hill. Thorns, branches, and exposed roots made a mark each time she rolled over them. Her rolling slowed and she was soon laying on her back, looking up at the moon before her. Then, her vision went black, never coming back.
