A spark had been reborn, one that I never thought would return after Alex had gone. When I looked into his ever-blue eyes, only one word could come to mind: beauty. Julian re-ignited the flame inside me and reminded me every day of what it means to truly live. Life without love isn't living, right? I agree... and yet I am also torn apart in a hundred different directions. Life without love would be a lot simpler. But I was never truly destined for the simple life, I tell myself. -~-~-~- This story takes place after Requiem, the third book in Lauren Oliver's incredible Delirium trilogy. ***I do not own all the characters or ideas in this story. It is simply inspired by Lauren Oliver's works. Credit must go where credit is due.***

A crossover event unlike any you've seen before, and a love letter to both Alan Moore's Watchmen and Neil Gaiman's Sandman. Someone is murdering time travelers and speedsters in the DC multiverse, and hardly anyone has noticed. Meanwhile, one of the Endless has gone mad, affecting reality in a myriad of unsavory ways. All of spacetime begins to unravel. The only chrono-kinetics left alive in the entire DC multiverse must find a missing hero from the Marvel's Earth-616... somehow. When all seems lost, an unexpected and powerful ally reveals they've been trying to help all along. I know the broad strokes of the plot, and many of the characters I'll be using, but I'm going to try to let the characters go wherever feels right from scene to scene. In other words, I use my improv training when I write, so this is going to be a wild ride :-D I've deliberately left out some more well-known characters, partly because they're too powerful and partly as a personal challenge. Notes: This story presents an alternate ending for Doctor Manhattan, because I just didn't get what the writers of Doomsday Clock were thinking. These events begin right after the events of The Button. You don't have to read The Button first, but the story might be a little more fun for you if you do. *The Linear Ones* isn't compatible with the ending of Doomsday Clock, because it requires Doctor Manhattan to still be alive. The easiest way for that to happen is to move a version of Kal-El from one universe to another, then raise and/or train him personally. While it's true that everything ends, every ending contains with itself the seeds of a new beginning. *The Linear Ones* contains spoilers for the following comics: The Sandman (75-issue run by Neil Gaiman), Watchmen, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Zero Hour, Marvel vs DC, Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, Time Masters: Vanishing Point, Flashpoint Paradox, DC Universe: Rebirth, The Button, and Doomsday Clock. Proceed at your own risk.

None of these characters or storyline are my own. This is just an addition to the end of Lauren Oliver's Delirium trilogy for my own need of closure. The series is based on a society where American citizens are given a cure for amor deliria nervosa, commonly known as love, when they turn 18. I highly suggest reading the actual series before you read this. But either way if you read this, you're probably frickin' rad.

In this short story, narrated by both Raven and Lena, what happens to all the characters in the Delirium trilogy after Requiem ended is explained. What happens to to Raven, Tack, and their baby? Does Lena end up with Julian or Alex? What happens to Lena and her mom, Annabel? What happens to Coral and the rest of the people that lived in the Wilds? All these questions and more will be answered in this epilogue. Copyright kimmiecatt © 2013

I am trapped in the labyrinth of my thoughts, I've play so many times, I don't know what I win, I hate to win, it means there is not challenge and I'm surrounded by idiots or people who cannot learn rules of a game or play. Of course I will love to loose, I crave for it, I love it, because I began an evil entity, a demon-king, someone trapped in his own labyrinth and is waiting on his castle. Yes, no room, no fun for me, no game for you, you know what Earth is.. I'm so bored right now, I have to torture people, not for pleasure but for the sake of the plot, it's my duty, my task, my work.. People remember it, we are evils for our own'sake, it's for the greatest good. Ask your boss, you will have the perfect answer.. You will have an answer, it's perfect, if you don't find it, remember to pretend. Do you know how to lie ? It's really useful, especially if you want to create a nation or put down an old regime. If you are unable, there is the capitalist method and the soviet method for you. Capitalist method is about repetition, autodafé, money. Soviet method is economic, it's about disparition, everyone disapears when they talk too much about old or opposite things. When you don't have money, wood, oil, fire, the energy to talk too much, it's really helpful. But I prefer french method, do you know guillotine ?

"Do you think green rollops taste well?" she asked the crowd. "Noooooooooo," they all said together. Then one of the waddles on the side yelled out, "they smell terrible." And all of them giggled in chorus. It sounded like a trickle of marbles flowing over tile steps.

DreamPunk, contrary to the name, doesn't necessarily have to involve dreams. They can also be visions, drug-induced or otherwise. DreamPunk is surreal sci-fi, often merging with the fantastical.
