The Story of Emil Sinclair's Youth by Hermann Hesse

[Age 15] Continuing the journal entries I made in my freshman year of high school, this piece reflects some of the darker thoughts that consumed my younger self. A popular theme in most philosophical works is existence and its meaning of it, and as someone who deeply appreciates the exploration of philosophical ideas, this piece sheds light on a time when I didn't even think that a philosophical world existed. It embodies a time when all I knew was the small Massachusetts town that I grew up in, and it was my entire world. The last line acts as an unintentional foreshadow, as my present life is so vastly different. From a personal perspective, it brings me a lot of joy and amusement when I contrast the two different points in time. The progression is beautiful to watch and even now as a college student, it strikes the thought in me that someday this moment will just be a line on a page for my future self to enjoy. It pushes me to live my life intentionally with no regrets, and it reminds me that no matter how agonizing life can get, it will pass and become a beautiful story one day. Hope you enjoy your glimpse of my younger self.

In the light of the recent short films released by BTS, I decided to retype The story of Emil Sinclair's youth which these short films were based on. I do not own this story I am only retyping the book here.

In his path to working hard he never really considered befriending anyone or asking for help. Only himself and his ambitions to guide him to his destination. But when detention lures him to a room of seven boys, each with their own story to tell; Javion might just end up putting his dreams unwillingly to second on his list. Javion's determination causes him to change his priorities from his well-planned future to hanging onto his newly found friends to maintain his sanity, that is altered by no other than the Devil. Who gives Javion 3 chances of saving himself from an undesirable fatal end, or re-write his path to a growing one.

Women face several challenges. Nobody is there for her in that palace. Tanya, a forlorn, lonesome princess in the lovely country of Adrian, is stunning and fascinating. But because she is the king's favourite and has attractive features, her siblings despise her. The abrupt death of the King of Adrian ended the peaceful life of the nation. Atish, the adjoining nation, then made the decision to attack Adrian. The sea land, Atish, is quite lovely. Caine Demian is the ruthless king of Atish. The callous siblings chose to offer the princess Tanya to the king after Atish made the decision to attack Adrian. She anticipated a rise in the complexity of her existence.

At twelve, young Ember Amythest is put through a torture that doesn't allow her to use any of her senses, and leaves her with her thoughts alone, slowly driving her insane. She doesn't know why this happened, or what she did to deserve it, she just knew that when she woke up, it wasn't a dream, and her family was gone. Five years later, Ember is still suffering from paranoia and after affects from her past. After a run in with a group at the natatorium, Ember is able to see what she would've if she had opened her eyes underwater while she was inside the "Glass Cage". A young boy, holding a black rose. Now, at school, said young boy is in her classes. What can Ember find out about her past, and the boy looking in?
