It was messy and complicated. In some ways their relationship had to be experienced to be understood. They fought hard, and they loved hard. They challenged each other. But most of all, Patrick made her feel alive. He set her heart on fire. To even her surprise, it was that very fire that was warming her heart in the midst of the worlds turmoil. Caught in the flashbacks of a life that was once her's, Ellen must choose to push forward in the life she had built without him or find her way back to the life they could have had.

It is 2007. Grey's Anatomy has been on the air for about 3 years now. Ellen Pompeo, freshly married to her husband, Chris Ivery, finds out he wasn't as great as she thought he was while they were dating. While going through this struggle she finds comfort in her co-star, Patrick Dempsey. However, things get a little carried away while Patrick tries to comfort her.

Ellens world is crushed when Patrick decides to leave Grey's Anatomy. It seems like the end of a decade Mer and Der. But what if Ellen discovers the real reason Patrick left the show? *I try to update as often as possible*

Including Patrick Dempsey, A few years back after season 11 ended, Patrick and Ellen got into a big fight and he left. Not showing his face on the set of Greys Anatomy again. So of course Ellen doesn't want anything to do with him. but maybe love over powers hate. *mature*
