My father passed away of cancer on January 31st 2015. This is dedicated to his memory. May it forever be on the Internet, and may his memory last forever. He will surely live on in the hearts and minds of all his family and friends. Especially to his daughter, two sons, and two grandchildren. This will be the first Christmas I cannot see or call him. So my dear dad, merry Christmas. We all love and miss you.

Growing up without a father figure in my life wast always easy nor was it helpful since I didn't have a mother figure either my dad got deported When I was three back to outside of America and my mother struggled with drugs an alcohol. I had to learn how to take care of myself at such a young age and become the parent figure for Mother instead since she wasn't taking care of herself. In this novel, I'll be going through the stages of anger, denial, depression and acceptance on growing through and growing up through the years my father wasn't around and how I was able to move past that while being the person I a today. This is my story.

My name is Hazelann Peters. This story is about the way I grew up and is still growing. It's about my pursuing of a happy life. It's to give you the reader a view into the way I was brought up.It can also teach you some ways I used to get out of situations that I face, which can be similar to yours.
