Pov from indifference with the world & fullness with myself

A collection of one-shots, fragments, and short scenes, ranging from horror to heartbreak, from quiet deaths to violent beginnings. None of them are connected, yet none of them truly stand apart. Sometimes, when my mind wanders and sensations overwhelm me, I find myself writing something unrelated to any story I'm working on at the time. They're all based on emotions sitting heavy on my chest. They're not depressing or bad in any way, just often more detailed and deep than my usual storytelling works.

This is for those who lost or found their voices. This is for those who could and could not breathe. This is for anyone who is stuck or escaped the dismal abyss of all-consuming emptiness. This is a reminder; a representation of the hardships we collectively face in our separate lives, on opposite parts of the globe. A gentle nudge to the fact that change is constant. Whether it is positive or negative, the outcome depends on you. Only you hold that power to be able to see beyond and into your future. Make it count. I promise you, it is worth it.

I was antisocial. At least, that's what people around me said. I couldn't deny that, for that was true. I had no friends, I was acquainted only with myself. And that wasn't going to change. But, who knew that my prediction, which always seemed to be right, could turn wrong?

Originally from a small conservative rural town, Miroslav is haunted by his thoughts on conformity and individuality, and struggles living life as an individual within the concrete jungle, a very unfamiliar environment. As he tries to adapt to campus life and living with only himself, along with the overwhelming desolation and misery he faces, he is pulled straight into a maelstrom of mischief and poorly-made decisions, which further supplement his inner turmoil. He finds himself vulnerable to and easily tempted by the demons that lurk within the depressing slums of Svyatnadomagrad. A dark and tragic story about a promising student's roller coaster of a journey to find answers to questions that had always troubled him: "Who am I? What does it mean to live? Is life worth living?" *** Mira is a passion project of mine. Heavily inspired by classic titles such as Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment, Albert Camus' The Stranger, and Dazai Osamu's No Longer Human, it explores a world from the point of view of a man who is emotionally detached from the rest of humanity and the world altogether. *** I will try my best to release at least 2 new chapters per quarter of the year. I struggle with words and grammar; school is also another thing that affects how often I am able to write, alongside other side projects.
