Here the husband of preeta was arjun who falls in dam that day and undergoes plastic surgery...he gets the face (DD) and changes his name to karan inorder to take his revenge from preeta and rishabh... So here rishabh is innocent and does not have any feelings for preeta and just fulfill his duty to take care of his brother wife in absence of him....
