The room was quiet again, save for the soft morning light that now seemed to spotlight the awkward, electric tension between them. He caught her gently by the waist as she pulled back, holding her close. His eyes searched hers, asking silently, "Can I?" She nodded softly, barely above a whisper. Their lips met again, slower this time, savoring the closeness.Her hands rested lightly on his chest; his arms wrapped securely around her. The world seemed to narrow down to the two of them, the morning sunlight spilling across the room, highlighting every fluttering heartbeat. He was kissing her as if he will never get another chance to kiss her again, a moan escaped her lips, he clutched a little tighter, moving a little above her waist, their chest collided, she was barely breathing, she kissed back.
