Water, the life-sustaining liquid, covers 71% of Earth's surface. It is vital to our survival, flowing in ocean waves and meandering streams. The genesis of human civilization can be traced to regions abundant with water sources. Yet, humans weren't the only beings to emerge from these aquatic realms. From an unknown perspective, 900 years ago, in the heart of the sea The ocean's gentle lullaby fosters fragile serenity, so easily shattered. A woman with a peach-colored tail and flowing hair speeds through the water, clutching something precious to her chest. In pursuit are eight dark-blue-tailed men wearing ominous expressions. As she darts skillfully through some kelp, her pursuers follow-until the seaweed seems to grow exponentially, eventually surrounding them in a makeshift forest that allows her escape. She carries an infant, now safe. Breaking the surface, the woman surveys her surroundings and spots land. Distracted by a noise from the shore, she observes a group of people strolling along the beach. Turning her gaze towards the child cradled in her arms, a resolve forms within her; she knows what must be done for its safety-even if it isn't easy. Plunging back beneath the waves with child in tow, she swims toward shore and heads in the direction of the beachgoers.

Different- adj. distinct; separate Isadora Solyn Martinez has spent her life mastering balance. Born without her right leg and raised above a tailor's shop in the poorer corners of the city, she learned early that the world notices what's missing before it sees what remains. Ballet academies turned her away. Audiences stared before she ever stepped into motion. But alone in narrow hallways and cracked-mirror rooms, Isadora built her own kind of grace - one carved from discipline, resilience, and relentless love for the art that sets her free. When a poster from P. T. Barnum calls for the "unique," Isadora doesn't go searching for belonging. She goes to be seen. Inside the spectacle of the circus made famous in The Greatest Showman**, she finds a stage large enough to hold her ambition - and a spotlight sharp enough to wound. As audiences applaud the "difference" that makes her marketable, Isadora must confront a quieter fear: are they clapping for her artistry... or for the story they've built around her? Offstage, she walks with a crutch. But when she dances, she removes everything. No assistance. No apology. Just her body and gravity. As fame grows and doubt whispers in the empty theater after the curtain falls, Isadora faces a choice: allow herself to become a headline, or reclaim the narrative and define "different" on her own terms. Poetic, bold, and fiercely independent, Different is a story about balance - not between two legs, but between who the world says you are and who you know yourself to be. And in the end, Isadora doesn't dance to prove she belongs. She dances because she already does.

"Unheard" is a collection of poems about quiet moments - the kind that slip between noise and stillness. They speak of distance, waiting, small hopes, and the wish to oneself to be seen; or heard. Soft, honest, and a little lonely - these poems are for anyone who's ever felt like their own voice disappears into a loud world.
