After a long history of manipulation, rivalry, and disastrous decisions, Prince Ethan of Pravia has finally begun to change. The problem? Almost nobody trusts him enough to notice.
Determined to help Ethan start over, Rin takes it upon himself to drag the deeply awkward prince into actual social interaction-whether Ethan likes it or not. Between painfully forced group activities, accidental intimidation, overcorrected politeness, and the knights relentlessly bullying Ethan for being "suspiciously normal," Ethan struggles to figure out how friendship is supposed to work when people aren't afraid of him anymore.
At the same time, Ethan becomes fixated on a new goal: finding Rin a Digimon partner worthy of him.
Unfortunately, Ethan approaches this task with the intensity of a military campaign.
What begins as a sincere attempt to help quickly spirals into chaotic scouting operations, unsolicited evaluations of random Digimon, overly aggressive "compatibility assessments," and multiple incidents that Phoenix officially labels "absolutely not diplomacy."
