The characters are based on Vampire academy by Richelle Mead, whereas part of the plot is inspired by The Selection written by Kiera Cass. Dimitri Belikov is the King of Russia and Rosemarie Mazur (Rose or Roza) is the Princess of Turkey. There is no way that the two will cross paths. Dimitri is called away from the academy because he has to help capture another runaway student.
