" She's gone Bailey, and so is dad. The promises I made died with her. When will it ever dawn on you, mum and dad are six feet under and there is nothing we can do about that okay?" It hurts, it really does but for Jake it probably is just another issue that should be stepped upon and life would go on. Jake had changed. Ever since I moved in, I have seen a new Jake. No he isn't the Jake I grew up with. The Jake I knew cared, he was always there to comfort and make me feel better not crush my hopes like he just did, but most especially the Jake I knew wasn't a drug addict!! " How can you say such trash, mom and dad still live in our hearts and I won't give up like you have, I will make things right, I promise you Jake I will set things back to the way they were." He walks to the door and puts his hand on the doorknob. I don't know where he wants to go to but I can't let him. " Don't you dare walk out of that door. You need to pull yourself together and stop acting like a jerk." He turns back and looks at me. I can see pain and regret deep inside his eyes, very deep inside, but on the outside he is emotionless, the lifeless Jake I came to know the other day. " We have different seasons throughout the year and when those seasons come we learn to adapt to the changes in the surrounding. Life turned it's back on us, and we should learn to live like that coz there's nothing we can do about it. Mom promised she would always be there to take care of us but she left and dad, he promised to always provide but here we are stuck with a drunkard uncle for a guardian. Those motherfucking humans left us alone despite all the promises they made!! " He opens the door and bangs it loudly after him. " I can't believe you said that, they didn't leave on purpose they were taken away from us." I almost whisper to myself and the tears that had gathered in my eyes started flowing freely.
